Founded in 1924, and housed in a heritage building within a green campus of 14.5 acres, Indraprastha College for women is the oldest women’s college in the University of Delhi, with over 3500 students enrolled currently.
The college has been awarded an ‘A’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and has been among the top 10 colleges of the University of Delhi.
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Indraprastha College for Women is best described by its new name, J.E.E.T., which stands for Jobs | Entrepreneurship | Excellence | Talent. J.E.E.T. working towards facilitating fellow students to make informed decisions about their career choices. With over 50 members from different disciplines of study, who lend their own streak of brilliance to their colorful tapestry, the cell family is diligent and dynamic, united by the desire to take our college to new heights.
The office-bearers of J.E.E.T. comprise the President, the Vice-President, the Internship Coordinator and the Secretary. They are assisted by the Coordinators of various functional teams, all of whom constitute the Core Team. The working of J.E.E.T. is overseen by the Faculty Advisor, assisted by a Committee of departmental faculty representatives, duly appointed by the Staff Council.
The self-financing B.A. (H) Multimedia and Mass Communication program is unique to the college , and imparts both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training, with the use of the latest technology in the field of media and communication , including communication for special needs , for disability access.
